At the end of the day, we're all aware that Ted Promo has posted racist, transphobic and other nasty shit on TA for years and nobody got particularly up in arms. He was far from the only one, either. But at least just own the fact that as moderators you've let it happen, rather than acting like he's been undercover the whole time. |
I'm not trying to say he's undercover, but rather that he's got a few alts (hell, we're even talking about a third one) and we have to deal with a Sisyphean wack-a-mole revoking posting privileges of different accounts owned by people whose presence here is unexplainable after so many suspensions.
Also, true, we sometimes we do try to wait it out, and sometimes we really don't remember these people given their insignificance, hoping they'll get tired of being ignored and leave on their own. But, if they step out of line and we remember who they are, we go back to our previously scheduled programming and suspend them pretty much on the spot and often throw away the keys. Of course, nothing prevents them from coming back under a new guise, reason it's often tiring.
