i would have to consider the palestinians a stateless nation. what is that...well for those of you that remember your old days in school a stateless nation would be a group of people sharing a similar history and culture that do not have an official state. |
hehe by your definition, there are tons of stateless nations all over the world, the iraqi kurdistans, the texans, the french people of Quebec.... when is one group deserving? why dont we all have countries if we share history and culture?
and btw if you read up earlier there were points made to negate the notion that palestinians have a shared history (the palestinian authority, as in recognation of palestinian people only started in 1969, thats not much of a history. there are no lores or tales of the anciet palestinian people) and share culture (what is culture, religion? nope palestinians are both christian and muslim, or is it same backrounds? nope palestinians have come from egypt, lebanon, bosnia and many other places). in anycase, yes the palestinians now have formed a collective nationalist movement and i belive peace wont be achieved until a palestinian nation is created.
