Hey, Verona^my, these tunes that acid junkie posted are acid techno. There are several threads about it, just look for "lochi AND acid" in the search engine and you'll have a huge list

And about goa evolving from eurodance... no mate, it didn't. I've studied the history of goa and, as far as I know, eurodance had nothing to do with it. Here's a document about its origins:
http://www.scu.edu.au/schools/carts...sic/mh/goa.html

I just dont hear the EBM influence, esp in the modern stuff, I know the really early goa from 1990-92 was influenced by EBM, but there was a sharp change in style in the mid 90's that doesn't sound at all like EBM. In fact I've heard three distinct samples on California Sunshine albums that are also on the first Magic Affair album. Coincidence, perhaps, but I think lots of people would be way too embarrassed to ever admit being influenced by eurodance, cause eurodance is like bastard child music..

And yes those tunes are acid techno, acid junkie said they were, I said I didn't like the acid trance samples anywhere near as much. Jon the Dentist, eww.

Goa evolved from a lot of things IMO. I read lots of interviews on one site, and someone said lots of goa artists are also heavily influenced by metal. Each producer is an individual who listens to a whole lot of different stuff.

psyshop is good, if you live in the US and want to try out some psytrance, there are two good shops.

http://www.chaosexistence.net/music.asp

chaos existence has full length samples, which are nice cause trance often builds over minutes. They're based in Portland Oregon.

A good shop from Philadelphia, which isn't too far from my hometown in Rochester, NY.

well, i must say, thanks all for giving me sum ideas on real acid trancd and acid techno... i never really researched into acid techno.. fuck knows why.... cos i have been a large fan of the 303 since it began.... but ive always been into many styles, so its kinda hard to take on a new genre whilst keeping the same amount of interest in the ones that your already listening to.

ill be sure to check out sum of the stuff by the liberators, and all the other acid artists mentioned peace

When we say that ebm influenced psy-trance, there's no need to still have ebm elements in the modern stuff: one day, it was there, and that's what matters.

About eurodance, I'll check it Is there a chance you remember where you read it?
