Isn't music supposed to be universal?

something has been bugging me. Someone just recently called me an embarassment to trance music, and he probably think so because of my age. I dont really care what he thinks, but I'm just curious to see whether any 'young' people listen to trance. Young as in.... 14.

No matter what age you are, human beings respond to music. Regardless of age, language, background or situation. That's what makes music universal, and powerful. Why should you be an 'embarassment to trance' because you are 14? Mozart was already writing opera by the age of 12! (Bastein, Bastienne) I doubt anyone would dare call him an 'embarassment'!!
For the record, I first heard trance music while playing pool with a friend of mine. And as track after track of the most ear-openeing music I had heard in a long time (My first musical love was classical, followed by a great interest in 1970's art-rock, like Yes and Genesis) I went and asked the bartender what was being played. It was a mix CD called 'Plastic, vol. 3' Which I promptly went out and purchased. The rest is history.
Oh yeah! How old was I? 23. I'm 28 now.
