sorry, but i don't get your point. If I buy an advance ticket, there is a contract established between me and the club. That contract should say something to the effect of
"If you present this ticket, you will be allowed to enter the club, provided that you are not trying to break the law..."

it doesn't say "Even though you idiot spend the moeny ahead of time, hence allowed us to maximize our profits, since we were able to use the money before providing you with the service, you will have to arrive early to get in."

sorry f0x, but the thing is that this doesn't happen in other countries. You got a ticket, you will get in first. I have seen a similarly poorly organized thing once before (Lovestern Galactica 2000) and since I have never attended that party anymore.

I did get in. I feel _REALLY_ bad for the people who did not. It is TOTAL BS, and i think you guys -especially if you have travelled to NYC for this even- should consider suing. Not only should u be awarded THE FULL AMOUNT of your ticket, you roxy (the city of NY/ ticketmaster) should reimburse you for the opportunity cost of coming to NYC. Since you can -beyond reasonable doubt- proove that PvD was pretty much the only reason you came to NYC, the fact that Roxy/ Ticketmaster have denied you entry, is a breach of contract on their part. I am not sure about the US, but I was led to believe that contracts do have some legal standing.

If a person can sue a cigarette company for billions of dollars, since he was stupid and smoked his life, you should be able to sue ticketmaster for making u waste precious hours of your life.

ps.: I don't think that there is a rule that tells you that you need to come early to any club. If they are open from 11pm-7am and you have a ticket, you should be allowed to enter at 6:55am.. even only so that you can turn around and leave again.

Well, i am not a huge fun of all the "suing business", but if i did not get in, i would surely consider that as an option. Coming down to New York from Canada only because of PVD, having a ticket and not getting in? It is not ticketmaster's fault! It's TOTALLY club's fault. I've been there, I saw it with my own eyes. Their poor organization of the event was what caused all this shit.

I remember when Tiesto played in Kool House in Toronto, there were arround 3 000 people attending that event. It was almost sold out, so only few people without advance tickets got in. Sound familiar, hun? So when I came to Kool House around 12-30 I got in to the club in 10 minutes, there was no line up! Everybody was inside by that time, and those without tickets were sent home.

I just moved to NYC and was rally looking forward to seeing PvD, but alas, I am a fellow stranded ticketholder. I still have my unused ticket, and am debating whether to hold onto it, hoping Made really will reschedule a new gig, or to mail it back to Ticketweb.

I really hope Made brings PvD back. Obviously, I'm concerned about the $40 I spent, but more importantly I just want a chance to see PvD. Is anybody else holding out for an announcement of a new show, and if so, how long are you going to wait?

Unfortunately, Paul's schedule appears to be pretty full. I sent an email to PvD's site just to express that I felt bad I missed seeing him, and one of his staff wrote back referring me to Made Events. Hopefully, the two camps are in talks to bring him back soon!

Also, here's an email I got back from Ticketweb for any of you who are concerned about getting a refund from them.

We have left a message with the box office regarding this matter.
Someone will contact you as soon as the issue has been
resolved. Most likely in the next 3-5 business days. Please hold on to

are u kidding me? MADE event could go and shove it up their ass. i really do hope PVD doesnt go back to ROXY... MADE EVENT = dont give a shit as long as they get payed... and if they do bring pvd back to roxy.. how do we know this type of thing will not happen again... i much prefer to see him @ a different venue where Brains are acctually used.

ROxy is possibly the best venue to hold a pvd crowd, but in light of this whole club shut down etc situations got even worst.
Everyone bitches about exit out for money, I don't think Roxy is any better..... it's a freaking business, it's not a club, it's a highly modulable concert/club hall....


so with all this put together, who would be the perfect pick for a monthly/bimonthly.. residency for pvd in nyc ?

Is the ROXY the only place MADE books gigs? I definitely don't want to deal with the idiots there, but like I said, I just want to see PvD. Don't get me wrong; I'm plenty ticked off, I'm just hoping those responsible for the problem step up to the plate and do what's right. Here's my logic (or lack thereof). If I'm the promoter, I'm looking at a big monetary loss (via refunds) as well as a primo DJ who's likely pissed that hundreds of his fans were literally left out in the cold. The right thing for MADE to do is try and book another gig, at another venue, as soon as possible. Is this unrealistic? Yes. Is it out of the question? No.

MADE is a company that books parties at clubs, they also book events at places like ARC ive seen in the past.
