I don't mind what i've heard of them so far, no doubt rock fans would call it the equivalent of 'cheese', but hey, i don't mind it.

Evanescence is quite a good group, not great, but still good enough.
I bought their album and the only downside to it is the sameish singing of Amy and I just hate the snobistic sounding track Tourniquet "my godd, my tourniquet!!!" plzzzzz

It's goth-rock/goth-metal with a nu-metal swing to it. If they succeed to be more than just another one-hit wonder and promise to never again make a track like Bring Me To Live they might have a bright future.

My favorite track is Going Under

they have to be innovative to reach every corner in the world.
Evanescence did this for rock.

I don't quite agree with that

Evanescence had a good marketing strategy, but they weren't innovative.
There are groups 10 times as innovative and good as they are, but don't have a huge pr-machine behind them.

Being known is not a standard for being good.

I wish Evanescence would expand on the industrial/orchestral elements of their music, and make some of their songs much much longer, incorporating more of those elements... i would be in heaven...

They recently did a remake of "My Immortal". I believe it starts out with Amy on piano and her vocals then it's orchestrated into rock. It's set to be their next single so you'll be able to hear it in the near future. I've heard they've been playing it live though.

Nothing about this "group" in particular stands out to me... P.S., geez, old thread

Yeah, Great CD.

Admit it, its now rare to buy a disc from a mainstream group that content only good songs.

My favourite is Hello. My immortal is nice, too.

For the very first seconds of the album (starting with Going Under), i was SURE that it was some Linkin Park, until i heard "...Going underrr". Lol

What?! Theres a remix of Hello out there?
