yeah, sweet, that's the kind of sub i want to get. a 12" might do it i suppose.. I loves my bass that's right! even with just my two 10s, i knock pictures off the wall, and my neighbours complain every night.
here's the speakers, they aren't too big, but they are in good condition for their age (about 5 years old at least)

I also have another stereo set up with my computer for mp3 mixing:

I spin trance, sometimes delving deeper into progressive and even some house, and sometimes going up into hard trance and even hard house.
and no, i don't sit while mixing, that chair was just there for me to stand on while i took the first picture!

tube amps are a thing of the past tho, most companies don't make them anymore, unless they are for audiophiles who are willing to shell out the insane amt of money that they cost. |
Dude Tubes RULE!!! Capacitors only replicate the output current stage of Vacuum tubes. There are not alot of Solid State amplifiers that sound as good. Nothing will beet the massive transformers and current required.
Do you know why you must have the speakers connected at all times when the amp is ON???
I heard a statement before go like
"How many good Solid State Amplifiers claim to have " replicated" that awesome Tube Classe A sound????"
"How many Tube amps claim to have replicated that awesome solid state sound"??
Got 2 Solid State and 1 Tube Amp. I only use my tube (or valve in U.K.) amp on rare occataions because
#1 Its expensive to run, twelve tubes ain't cheap.
#2 Finicky sounding (now if you own one you know) they seem to have "Bad " days on occasion.
#3 Take good hour to get warm enough for high output(not to be confused with practice volumes) or it decrease tube life.
#4 Bias has to be matched with evey tube change or swap.
#5 Really inefficient and use lots of wall power!!!
#6 Always babysit them, you somtimes get overheated cathode An. or pent plates(in the tube(s) AND most larger wattage tube amps create enough juice to really S.H.O.K.K. you dead!! No SHIT
#7 Hard to find true "stereo" ones, to get the most requires two "mono" blocks" oh what a shame, Silver 7's pictures come to my mind!! as I dream till that day arrives!!!
#8 You gotta use GOOD Wires or There just damn Noisey if you don't. This type REALLY Picks up interference and Harmonic(s)and unless everthing connected is "studio quality" be prepared for anger managment, steel toe boots not ALLOWED
#9 It takes less time to format you computer and install 20 progs than to fine tune the sound
#9 THE SOUND IS Worth more than everything and every red cent listed above and more!!!! Tube amps ReALLY MAKE a difference. Tubes produce tones, harmonics and highlites NOT ACHIEVABLE by MOSFET's PERIOD. .Plus the Idea of massive amounts of electrons being digested by each tube in the amp is kinda cool.
Vacuum Tubes sound WAY BETTER!!!!

Vacuum Tubes sound WAY BETTER!!!! and I have Stellar Audiphile grade amps with FET's that are considered to be members of the family
