Ok here's my opinion:
I don't hate americans persay, but i hate their government. Bush is an idiot, and the majority of the world would agree. The US meddles in everyone's business, and it's always for their own interests, and that's why the world hates them. I mean, how can you just topple a government in this day and age !!!??? Bush is the 21st century Hitler (and please, i don't want any crybaby bitches telling me it's not fair to the hollocaust victims to compare the two, spare me please!). Hitler tried taking over the world in the 19th century way-sheer force. Bush and the US are doing it 21st century styles, and all with a front. They're putting a stranglehold on world politics and economics, instead of just running the world over like Hitler. Countless kids are dying everyday around the world because the US remains steadfast on holding onto the biggest piece of the economic pie.
EVERYTHING THE US DOES, IT'S IN THEIR OWN INTERESTS. I can't stress this enough. They're selfish ******s. You think Canada should be thankful that we're so close to the US cause they're "protecting" us. PLEASE. They're not protecting us because they want to protect us necessarily...by protecting us they're protecting themselves. CNN is US propaganda at its worst. They're so goddamn biased it's not even funny. How dumb are they when they to devote days upon days of coverage of some upperclass Utah girl who was found after being kidnapped. I agree it's a good thing, and i'm glad, but they simply milked that story to take eyes and ears away from the iraqi crisis. The US in the former yugoslavia---you think they did it to 'save albanians'? Bullshit, they just want a stable europe, because a stable europe means more money for them. That was centuries old conflict they stepped into. The iraqi crisis is brand new, but no one can step in and stop the states cause they're got a strangledhold on world economics. Money is power, not intelligence. How come they didn't help innocent Rwandans in their genocide? Because they could care less what goes on in those types of countries. There's no money in it for them. Do you think they helped Japan after WWII because they felt sorry they bombed the shit out of hundreds of thousands of people in hiroshima and nagasaki??? (not to mention the second bomb was completely unecessary, but that's another story). YA RIGHT ! They simply wanted a symbol of capitalist success in an area of the world dominated by communist countries. AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY IS SELFISH!
Presently, North Korea is a MUCH bigger threat than Iraq. They even said they're going to resume their nuclear program for christ's sake! Everything they're saying about Iraq is based on ALLEGATIONS! Does the american public simply swallow everything their government tells them? Damn, Powell didn't prove SHIT! This is truly an oil war. I'm sorry that all those people died in 9/11, but honestly, it was just a matter of time, and you're lying to yourself if you disagree. And you know what, it's only a matter of time before something similar happens again. The only way anyone can get back at the states is indirectly, through terroism, because they're just too rich, and money is power, again.
Am i thankful we're so close to the US ? Damn right ! I'd rather bask in american success than actually live in america. Everyone knows we're just the american bitch, so no matter what, canada will never be hated as much as the US worldwide. WHAT GIVES THE US THE RIGHT TO STEP INTO ANOTHER COUNTRY AND ELIMINATE THEY'RE PRESIDENT? How would it be if another country stepped in and took dumbass Bush out of power. If you made it this far into my opinion, than you should be ready for me saying i think Bush should be assassinated. I bet over half the world would rejoice and party if that happened. Americans are fooling themselves into thinking the world will stay the way it is forever, and that they will always be in charge. If history's proven anything, no empire, no matter how great, lasted forever. I will bask in american success, and hope that history repeats itself afer our generation passes away...it won't be pretty.
