Are the HD25 or HD25SP?
HOw much did you pay for them?
They were amazing... thats it? Perhaps you can give us a more in depth review (ei. bass is good, treble very high, mid is out there.... whatever)
Have you tried them for djing or just home listening? How are they at loud volumes?
One other question: What other headphones have you tried or owned?
Im just so curious, cause ive only heard these cans once long time ago, at Sound Advice...i cant really remember how they sounded (couple years back), but im thinking of dishing out the xtra cash to get them.

Peace,
Rick

I paid $305 cdn including shipping/handling and taxes

i got them from Etronics

I had the sony mdrv600 and the mdrv700.

The sound coming out of them is so crisp and clear with no distortion at all when you jack up the monitor volume levels.
I found the sony 700's bass way to overpowering and drowning out the mids and highs. The isolation is alot better than the sony's as well, yes they might not look like they do with the small earcups, but they do.

the hd25 and the hd25sp are not the same. The hd25sp has a single headband, unlike the double on the hd25. The hd25 cost more and they are better quality.

The hd25 are very light and comfortable, unlike the heavy 700s ive used.

Another feature of the hd25 that i like is that every part is replaceable: the headband, the cord, the drivers and the earcups.
I don't have to go in detail how badly designed the hin ges are onthe sony 700s, mine broke in less that yr.
Each earpiece on the hd25 is height adjustable and they pivoted for the right fit.

I aint gonna tell you what to buy. Headphones are a personal thing. I know ppl who swear by the 700s and would not live without them.

Try to find a local place who allows you to try each brand and decide for yourself.

Damn, all this headphone talk makes me want to get new ones. What do u guys think, I got these 23 year old Yamaha Hp-1 that belonged to my dad. They sound awesome, but the Pioneer HDJ1000's are sooo cool

Nice! Thnx Bender for the detailed review
I agree that its best to try out headphones before purchasing, but I cant seem to find any local retailers that carry the HD25 anymore, weirdo.
I also have the MDRV700 and I have the MDR7506, but I was curious to see if you had experience and tested other 'decent' headphones before aquiring these. For insntance, way back when, i use to have Koss headphones, and when I upgraded ot the MDRV700s, they seemed to be the best.... but obviously, from experience, i know better

Peace,
Rick

Cool. So have you tried any other decent headphoens other than the HD25? At least to demo them?

I want to die right now... I have a pair of these (for a few months now) and I've loved them. Tonight the left side just randomly quit on me... anyone know of any easy fix solutions or am I just screwed?

I was hoping the expert would respond! I know it's not normal at all which is why this sucks. Do you happen to know the appropriate link to contact people? Many thanks!
