as per the first time, it doesn't have to be an awkward and sub-par experience. it will definitely be just that if you aren't emotionally ready. when you turn the act into this objective of 'popping the cherry', thats when it goes downhill. the pain factor really depends on the people involved. not sure how else to say it but girls vary a lot in terms of tightness, as do guys in size.
