WTF are you talking about? People key their own tracks and use online databases and programs as reference points to see if they're on the right track.

Maybe you should read the thread before you post a commentary on it...douchebag.

Yeah you have the wrong idea. The emphasis here is for people to learn how to key their own tracks and to learn more about music theory and harmonic mixing. But that cannot be done without references. It is difficult to learn anything without having somewhere you can look to see if you are right or wrong.

haha. and ^^ is a liar and a moron. hasnt quite figured out the maths on what it would take to do what he's saying for his 700 tunes. he would have to mix 699 + 698 + 697 etc etc all the way to 1 to know which songs work well together. obviously someone with that time doesnt have anything else to do. but glad i have!

loser.

Hello!

you're not very bright are you?

if you'd have only 100 tunes it would require 9,3326 * 10^157 takes to mix them all with each other (100! = 9,3326 * 10^157). let's say every mix would take 2 minutes (which is on the low side as turning your equipment on etc. takes time too). if my calculations are correct, it would take you 3,5512 * 10^152 years to mix all those 100 tunes together with each other if you would do it 24/7/356. and many people have way more tunes than that. you mentioned 700 tunes, that would take a whole lot more years to mix. and you're gonna run out of years even with 100 tunes, so maybe you better stfu for good now and start mixing.

10 records mixed with each other will give you 3,628,800 possible combinations (10x9x8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1). Using skips 2 mins per mix gives 120,960 hours mixing which is 5040 days constant mixing with no sleep or about 13 yrs.

You'd be one cranky SOB.

But then with 700 songs on your ipod, I guess you'd just use random.

the , uh, "thumbs upi" is a script error. for some reason it printed the icon and the code and did not even print the other icon. I dont even know what you're talking about. if you just listen to your tunes and know how they go you would'nt need to mix 24/7. christ, just key them up your self, make a playlist the 12 basic keys, listen to them, and mix when you want. it's not that hard. but maybe some of us arent that clever...if that system is even clever. dont use the bullshit camelot system though, because there are sooooo many other possibilities than the camelot system can explain. each note has dozens of different scales and harmonies. the possibilities are endless. take a fucking music theory semester. train your ears. and listen to your fucking tracks.
