Monsieur Jeff text'ed me this info about a month ago. I then proceeded to check their myspace for varification & to confirmed that Jeff wasn't just talking sht. ahaha. I was convinced that it had to be false.

Anyway. I just checked my anjuna forum account for the 1st time in ages, as I got a p.m., & on the front page, the date was changed to wed, apr 15th.

I still have yet to see a thread on here about the show. I'm confident that my vision is top-knotch. But I've missed a few threads in my t.a. "career" thus far. So, shall I make a last minute thread? Or is my vision really that bad? o__O & if so, link?

It would be a very epic show, indeed; especially since I've never been to Whistler before. (...in before wtf kinda vancouverite are you?! ... yea. I've yet to re-kindle my childhood love of some winter sports & try out others.) I have a friend who may be going up there skiing that day. So, I'll just w/ him, I suppose. =)

Lastly, I swear to god...Daniel Kandi @ a rave tomorrow night. nooooo! =( Son of a diddley. :'(

Lea, I live in Whistler and so I should probably head down to this since I've been as A&B take me back to my trance beginnings... but none of my usual party buddies are going because they are more into electro house and are going to Laidback Luke a couple days later. So I'm not sure that I wanna go alone but I probably should.

Anyways garf's is a small place, a single floor half the size of celebrities... so that could make for an interesting show.

yea I'm in bayshores til the end of the month.. so I gueeesss I should go to it. I'd be all over it if I didn't just see them 2 months ago.. but it will be a memorable night in whistler since garfs is a bit more intimate. i was mainly not really thinking about it because I don't know anyone going, but if you guys are headed there.. yep yep. i definately remember you! you look like my sister's bf's long lost twin.

so, it's the morning of the show, & i'm still not sure what my plans are. i just had my wisdom teeth out yesterday. aaahaha...what a magical journey that was. i was listening to their album, & by the time world on fire was over, they were done. i've never done e & never will, but i bet that's what it feels like for some you guys. but i bet it was more like acid. words can't even describe it. i EXPERIENCED and FELT trance. seriously. so magical. xD i wanted to listen to "nitrous oxide - amnesia" for t3h l0lz. but i knew that i wouldn't be able to move my fingers & needed to have something to play through for the anticipated 45 mins.

& i'm feeling fine right now. now, i'm just waiting to hear back from my friend or whoever else. i'd go by myself, as i'm great w/ that kinda thing. but exploring a new area whilst being in some mild discomfort/swollen/etc probably isn't the best idea. =P i wouldn't be doing this for anyone else but them. /m\

Well turns out it was last night and I didn't go see above and beyond. It's funny that when I finally have an opportunity like this right in my own town I don't even take advantage. Oh well, I'll see them eventually but timing didn't work out, can't force it.

Does anyone know if they still play psychedelic? When I listened to their last album, it was quite a bit different from their previous albums.

I personally didn't like their live show that much when I saw them two years ago, which was "live" psy trance. I also wasn't so impressed by The Presets in Vancouver 4 nights ago. Similarly in both instances the tunes were just so hard and banging, and "live" part to electronic music doesn't get me that excited. I think I'd rather just be grooving and dancing to a dj set with tunes like that in it, because it was like a mosh pit at a rock concert at the front of the presets.
