Ironically, I wasn't meaning that really. Just that most, if not all social behaviours, no matter how obscure, have almost always been documented by some sort of social, academic, or medical form.

That's a good question I suppose. What sort of behaviour does an infant exhibit? What is intentional and what is instinct? what is the difference? People are socially engineered from the very beginning whether you agree with it or not. Why else would we pick between a pink rattle and a blue one?

Agreed, but at what point does that social confine end? Are we naturally at some point going to think outside that confine, or is this just another learned behaviour?

How would you know though?

The social confine simply never ends. Quite the opposite, really. "Mature" people are just humans with more rules to live by - you become more socially confined as you age for the most part, the only thing is you get a taste for the benefits so it hardly seems like a confine over a long enough period of time, you know?

In this very thread, Slylee was talking about.. something.. some friend or whatever, who 'still gets drunk, pops pills, doesn't care, etc'. Would you say that man is immature? Or at least the behaviours we (Slylee) would criticize him for? Really what we have is somebody who seemingly lives by less rules and standards as the "mature" comparison, therefore they are immature via negativa. Is there really anything right, wrong, purposeful or moral about what he does though? It would seem as though maturity is in fact a dynamic of gradual inaction as one physically ages.

lol are you honestly questioning a judgment passed on someone who continues to drink and drive even after getting into a horrible drunk driving accident where 2 people died?
