Yes, let's all be true Maple Leaf fans and blame some event or the refs or the wetness of the ice etc.....for sucking. It has nothing to do with the actual players you know.

Lastnight i was pretty pissed about the turnout, but i think all of us deep down knew the Flyers had our number. Just like Ottawa cant get by the Leafs, the Leafs cant get by the Flyers. The season was filled with a lot of ups and downs, some key injuries, unbelievable comebacks and stellar play by Eddie Belfour as usual. This was the Leafs best chance at the cup since they last won in 67 and the leafs fan band wagon was jumped on (and off) by many. I sure hope there is a season next year, because an old team like Toronto only gets older with a holdout.
Highlights of the year:
- 16 game winning streak
- The amazing comebacks on the road against both Ottawa and Buffalo
- Beating Ottawa in the playoffs (again)

Final score.....Leafs 6, Sabres 5 (OT)
Unbelievable game for those who turned it off going into the 3rd. Just a flurry of goals, and actually some gave saving saves by both goalies - something you wouldnt normally see in a game with 11 goals. Great tipped goal by Roberts, set up by Mogilny (for his 1000th point). Then in overtime Mogilny gets called for the worst hooking call ive seen in recent memory. The Leafs kill the penalty, got the momentum back, and with just over a minute left, on a 2 on 1 rush, Mogilny pulls up, sees a streaking Kaberle (yes you heard me right) and sets him up with a beauty. GOAL. Game over.
They replayed this game lastnight on Leafs TV. What a fucking game.
