I definitely think he has the skills to be up there with Jordan...but that's almost impossible to live up to, and he hasn't even won a championship yet--let alone going 3 in a row twice. Last night was the only such one he's had in his career, also. Yes, it's a huge deal, but Jordan dropped 40+ so many times in huge games, it almost became commonplace.

i am not ready to mark lebron in the top 5 nba players yet. he still has some room for improvement, such as his defense, his ability to make the shot while being fouled(jordan was known for always doing this. getting the "and 1" all the time), getting to the line more(he's really improved on this the past 2 years. the years before that, he was getting to the line 6 to 8 times a game. now it's 9 to 11), and his free throw percentage(his career is hovering in the lower 70s. jordan's career is in the lower 80s, and in his prime was in the mid 80s). if lebron can up his % to the upper 70s to lower 80s, that's acceptable.

Everyone def. has a right to their own opinion, but as 'King Ecnal' put it best a page back: Its the fucking CAVS!!!!!!!!!

Before Lebron was on the team they were nobodys. Couldnt advance to the playoffs and didnt have anyone else worth mentioning. They actually still dont have anyone else worth mentioning and they're 1 game away from the NBA Finals!!!! I find that pretty remarkable for a 3rd year player to take an entire team and go this far in this short of time.

no one's saying it isn't--but Jordan was beyond remarkable--not pretty remarkable.

I'd go:

1. Steve Nash
2. Jason Kidd
3. Kobe
4. Lebron
5. Dirk

1. Kobe
2. Lebron
3. Duncan
4. Nash
5. Wade
6. Dirk (this years playoffs left a sour taste in my mouth)

Kobe is a better defensive player although he used to be better. And Lebron coasted for half the season. Kobe never coasts. I think Lebron can be better than Kobe soon though if he continues the brilliance he showed last night. Duncan is the best winner but I wouldn't put him ahead of the other two in terms of talent/skills. It's just that dominant big men can control a game during the playoffs much easier than wing guys. Unless you're Lebron going bananas. The upper tier is reserved for the Michael Jordan's of the world and it's a small list. But think of how many championships besides Michael were won without a dominant big man? Shaq check. Hakeem check. Duncan check. Jabbar check.

And everyone knows how much I hate Kobe. I don't let personal feelings get in the way of the brain.
