This is exactly right. A DJ, especially one of international caliber, knows when to play a track and when not to. It's up the DJ, and it always is - if the DJ plays it and it weakens the set, it's because the DJ is weak.
I requested Castamara because I know Armin likes to drop this at peak time. I waited an hour and 15 minutes before I held the sign up, to where I felt, as a DJ myself, it would be /reasonable/ to make a request for the track, and Armin waited a few tracks himself before he made the move to drop it. And I feel that it worked really well in the set anyways. I feel like he would have played it anyways. I also texted Armin for Love Theme Dusk towards the end of his set, but he didn't play it, and I respect him for that decision.
