Well, I really did want to find the original quote because it sounds like it could be important (wording).

From DJMag 4 Nov 02: "I'm not afraid to call myself trance," Tiesto told DJmag. "I consider myself an ambassador for trance, a DJ who proves that the music can still be innovative and uplifting without being cheesy."

Hopefully this might clear up some of the discussion. I personally love Tiesto. I was drawn into trance first from Judge Jules, but it's Tiesto's work that has helped me mature a little bit. I guess I am into the earlier style, Gouryella anthems, but I think it's great that he's experimenting and a good variety is what makes mature sets and an experience beyond words...

Just to remind you guys, theres a biiiiig difrence between a good or even just decent song being 'played out', and a song being shit. I think that when it comes to some of the bigger classics, i.e. Robert Miles - Children, Delerium - Silence (Tiesto Remix), Rank1 - Airwave, etc. etc. that weve just all heard them so many times, and with the new things that come out, we just would rather listen to something we havent heard thousands of times. But I think you cant deny the talent behind those songs, and that even if you dont listen to them every day, sometimes winamp will come up on it, or you will notice it in the back of your crate and throw it on. So to call a song shit just because it got popular seems a bit off to me. If youre gonna call it shit, tell me why it isnt shit, or else just get off your high horse and admit that its a good song, just everyone plays it...
