lol so you know my life story...hahaha...actually we are always short tickets so at one point we decided that we would buy 5 extra tickets for friends and then it just happens that we both bought 5 a piece and now we have 10 extra tickets...so we figure might as well sell the extra 5...

sothis, you show you're age very well and i commend you on that...so bitter at such a young age...it's a shame really...

Here's to Love, Peace, Happiness and $70 a ticket!

Muwahahaha

hey man, at least at 22 years old, i've learned the difference between "your" and "you're".

regardless, what does being 22 have to do with not liking being fucked out of money? i guess once i am older, i will see the error in my ways and think it is perfectly acceptable to buy tickets, and then gouge people out of their money? i don't think that's an age issue, i think thats a decency/kindness issue. you, at , think its acceptable. i, at 22, don't. and if you call being irritated at people who purposefully fuck others out of money, bitter, i guess that's what i am. but i'd try to come up with a better adjective for your next response since "bitter" really is not applicable in this case.

lol
whoa, ok now guys, no need to fight over this
we all have opinions about this and we all have been ripped off at one time or another. i find its ok to sell a ticket to a sold out show for a bit more, but some ppl ask $80-$90 for them, and come the day of the show, i guarantee there will be some twat asking $100. now those ppl are real bastards :\

you attempted to insult me by using an invalid argument (that my age would have some factor), so i was simply pointing out that it is ironic that someone of your obviously much older age does not have a grasp of basic grammar points.

but, that is not the only thing i pointed out. the crux of my argument was that telling me that my age has something to do with me being "bitter" about you selling tickets for twice as much, is ridiculous. i notice that you chose not to address that point in your response to me. i am interested in hearing it.

Christ people, chill =)

If people are wiling to pay $100 at the door for tickets, then I see no problem with selling them for that much. There are scalpers out there that will do this for any and every show that they think will sell out, so I see no problem with cashing in on it yourself. I couldn't see myself doing it, but seems like an easy way to make a little money.

Im not trying to rip on anyone for selling tickets at ridiculous prices... my boyfriend wanted to buy extra tickets to sell as well to make money to help pay for our trip but i didn't like the sound of it and as it turned out we had a difficult time finding tickets anyways! I would pay a ridiculous amount to see tiesto because im crazy about him but i would also feel pretty shitty about the ridiculous amount of money i did pay. I don't know where to draw the line between right and wrong about scalping tickets! The only thing i know is that the show is going to be great and i hope to see you all there!

sean:

i understand that people will always rip people off at the door.. but that is only half my issue.

i consider the western canada part of TA to be fairly close knit and personal. i have met most of you (and/or see a lot of you at every single show i go to up there), and consider you to be my friends.

theres a difference between a random scalper trying to rip off people at the door, and someone who is PART of this small community, ripping off their friends/acquaintances. thats my issue. that someone would come on here and blatantly be charging double the price. there definitely is a huge gap between ripping off people you don't know, and ripping off people in a small community that you are a part of.

I agree with you in that respect, and that's probably why I wouldn't do it. Or at least, I wouldn't advertise here and I'd just sell to randoms. I'd feel like a dick if some TAs couldn't get tickets who I knew would absolutely love the show, when I had 5 extras that I was unwilling to part with for less than 3x the price. If it was just some random dude who barely even knew what Tiesto or Trance music was wanted to pay me $100, sure.

it could be worse i could work for Twisted Productions and have them shut off the water at the plaza of nations, over sell the event so people in line can't get in and the list goes on...you buy bulk you get a discount...you buy one then you pay more and that's the way it goes...

now back to the topic DJ Tiesto -> I hope he plays some uplifting stuff because I love his sets and the commodore will rock! That is the best venue in Van for sure

kim is right, i felt bad selling my ticket to a TA
thats why i just went to clubvibes

but yes, back to the subject:
from listening to tiesto's sets for this year, i would expect a harder set. tiesto might decide to play soft tho. as long as he plays ten, obsession (frank biazzi remix), adagio for strings (tiesto rework), 3rd earth and sirocco's destination, i will be happy
