not really picotto plays techno so i dont think theres a chance of him changing and playing more commercial stuff just cose if he became more popular

Yeah, underground techno king Mauro Picotto would never play anything commercial.

fair few people predicted a fall in the big named trance djs ie. Tiesto, PvD, Armin and Ferry which has not materialised. I was only scan reading but did someone mention halliwell as i thought i saw that name. Would be a great prediction if they did

How weird ... I haven't even lurked on here for months and I log on today for old times sake, and fuck me if they haven't dug up some old thread from 2001, and the hot topic of conversation is ... myself!

(Yes I am a kiwi, and I live in Scotland, if anyone really gives a shit).

I reckon my predictions were about 50:50 ... Breaks is now officially huge, Ibiza is a crummy pile of shit, people are STILL arguing on here over who's better out of Ferry and Tiesto, and there's STILL no decent clubs in Inverness

There's been some weird shit go on over the last few years though, who could have predicted that Tiesto would become so huge that he would play at the fuckin Olympic Games, or that Gatecrasher would sell out massively and turn into the evil corporate antichrist?

I hate to say it but I look at this thread and it makes me feel really really really fuckin old ... I remember back when I listened to all these people like Tiesto and AvB for the first time and it was just sending shivers down my spine ... I have to say they have been sounding pretty much the same to me for years now. Not bad, or unpleasant, just same-y. I still listen to a lot of trance but not 'exclusively' like I did way back then.

Right that's me all motivated now, I really really need to pull my finger out of my arse this year and go on some serious clubbing holiday before I get so fat and old that I get banned from clubs for scaring the punters. If there's any large gangs of bored, sexy, teenage candy raver chicks, with large supplies of fresh trance and hallucinogenic substances, who fancy a long weekend in Goa with some jaded old kiwi bastard, then have I got a deal for you
