honestly people, were you? the system i went to on friday was more than a let-down. the bouncers were assholes, making my friends and i pay a "reduced" 10$ cover, even though it was well before 11:30... system sucks because it's such a bad venue... in some places your head feels like it's going to explode because of how loud the music is, and in other places you can hardly hear it... the first few hours of dj's sounded like they were playing their music from a CD... or fading tracks with winamp or something... not very good at all... the people working there kept telling the dj's in the small room to turn down the bass cause it would damage the speakers or something... wtf... trance without bass is like... the terminator without arnold... and lastly as much as it is about the music, trance is also about the audience, and the people who go to these events. i would say that on average, people there were my fathers age (i never knew 40 year old chinese men were into trance...?!?)... there were NO girls... and some ugly UGLY people... i'm not necessarily saying anything about TA's... i'm sure u'r all supermodels out there, but some of the people there, especially the more elderly... their faces just looked like they blocked a kick

then again, not everyone can look like Fabio like i do :P

thats all folks

wow..i just read ur metallica review and thought hat was pretty interesting and now i read this which is extremely shocking are u sure u went to the right room??? i think not because of the 5 DJs ive heard 4 of the 5 DJs before and they are pretty good if not amazing. you seem to be the only one who went there to "see hot women" if u really wanted to, theres tonic on the side and plastique across the street where u can induldge in gazing at fake tits and slmost no clothes.

the TA party was about meeting the others u see on this board and supporting TA talent. If u didnt want to do that, you shouldnt have gone in the first place

PS. i hope your fabio face (which actually is really ugly) gets twisted in an accident soon

whoa lol dont get me wrong... i went out and i had fun... but i just think everyone here labels any trance events as "the best night ever"... c'mon guys not every night can be that great

i heard more than once a dj not even mix one song into another... just one song stop... and another one start

you all seem to be getting offended at the fact that i called you ugly... which i didn't
i just stated that i dont enjoy dancing like a maniac around a bunch of people who are as old as my dad...

trance music should be like what you see on the show wild on
a bunch of drunk teenagers at some random club with the music blasting and light blinding, and people dancing till the early morning like crazy people together

where were the lights? where were the people? where was the bass?

i went there to have fun, and i did... i just hate it when people go to these events and label them amazing... just because they're afraid to take a step back and make some comparisons

i know an event like this shouldn't be compared with tiesto... but THAT was a good show...

and if you really think system was great... my hat off to you... if you really mean it... i could see a lot of people finding that sort of entertainment fun... as long as you really mean it

stop hating on the glog

wildon is the most decieving show...

honestly tell me which clubs u frequent.

we may all say that it was the best night ever cos we dont want to offend the DJs that spent time and effort doing their best ont he decks jsut to entertain us.

i wasnt there at the second party but system isnt my cup of tea as well yet i would go there anytime jsut to support talent i know...

if u had some constructive criticism, there are ways o saying it without being harsh about it. everyone is open to criticism

Hmm.... This maybe true. However, personally I based my judgment on other events like Tiesto @ Aria, Talla @ Viva, Armin @ Guverment, Corsten @ Guvernment, etc... When writing my review I consider such factors as
1) Free entrance into Systems!
2) great crowed, mostly TAs!
3) Room to dance!
4) Amazing DJ sets!
etc...

During that night systems was a fun, clean dance environment with great people and awesome music.

If picking up was your main priority then maybe you should have gone to another club?

for sure what i said was harsh... no doubt that every DJ out there is putting great effort into the magic of their music... but i still brought up some good point

an no, i don't fancy system much either, and no... clubs like those in wild on don't exist... except in my head... it was an exaggeration... but it still doesn't change the fact that friday night was 'just average' to me, and i'm not afraid of saying it

an event like this at... let say for argument sake, guv (great venue!) with blasting bass, flashing lights, and a lot more people would have made the night a hundred times better....

i think these are all reasonable demands that would classify a night as being extraordinary...

i never said anything about picking up, u'r all just putting words in my mouth now

if you really enjoyed friday night for all of the reasons you mentioned then perfect... you had fun and you had nothing to worry about

i just fancy a different kind of club...
first, i didn't get free entrance... which i am to blame for more than anything i guess (even though i was there before 11:30)... and secondly, to me it was a bit too much room to dance

i like going to clubs when you can't even walk through the crowd... when you have to stop every once in a while because you are running out of air... where you cant hear the person next to you but you are so close to them that you feel like a sardine

i dont want to sound like some elite club guru... because i'm not...

i have been to a few clubs in italy, and croatia and other euro countries... they weren't much better... i live in waterloo half of the year... the clubs there suck...

but once in a while... at any club... everything just comes together... good music, good people, good booze, good time

to me friday wasn't one of those nights and i think too many people are labelling it as so

ummmm... i can't say that i did
i came with my own group, and i haven't been TA'ing long enough to really feel confortable with just showing up and meeting a bunch of people i only know through a chatroom i've been on only two months

i mean... i'm not trying to insult anyone here... i consider myself a TA as much as anyone here, and i think you are all great people... i just dont know anyone THAT well enough

and i was in all rooms... the picture someone posted earlier in this thread... i was sitting down right in front of that booth in the seats right next to it for a few hours just enjoying a beer and listening to the music

Btw, I think I’ve seen some Serbs from Waterloo that night. Do you following names sound familiar Dario Tepsic, Ivana, Vesna? Because I think I remember seeing Ivana, I think.
