you're right
plus, if i understand correctly, these are still the vocals/lyrics that will be used for the official vocal version, only they will be mixed into the track much better..
so basically this means:
1. crappy lyrics
2. putting vocals on top of a tune that is clearly produced in a style that is not meant to have vocals
3. sell-out

I will continue making awesome music for you real Mike-fans, don't worry about that. Just don't let this incident change your view on me as an artist!" |
yazper's comment made me feel a little better now, but i must admit i had lost faith in mike for a moment after that story of his site admin.. yet i can't help feeling this "new" vocal version will be crap as well, as i can't imagine any type of female vocals fitting into the original.. so in that perspective, i'm still rather disappointed, but i guess i can't come to a conclusion without hearing it.. i know he's a great producer, but i am a bit hesitant towards a vocal version..

I am very skeptical to this vocal version myself, but after all Rozalla is one of the big house divas from the early 90s, so it's no wonder that he wouldn't like to give it a go (even tho what she did with Aquagen was repulsive enuff,I assume MIKE hasn't heard that).

No problam , money is good but you can say it every time and every goddamn tune of his got the same beat and bass and like grr he's not doing much affort and by making 282357844 mixes he gets a lot of money
So every cheese track that a good artist make u gonna say - what's worng about making a bit of money that's ok but still CHEESE!

No offense Mosh, but MIKE is far from your average cheese producer. I agree that lately a good deal of his work has been lazily produced:

Like that for instance. But if you actually bothered to listen to those tracks paranoiko listed(cos I don't think you have,at least not the more minimal, dark stuff like Mass Effect,Return Of The Native,Blackmaster or Absolute),you'll find out that he's a very talented artist, with more versatility than most of his collegues. And adding vocals to a track doesn't necessarily have to mean disaster (Cass & Slide - Perception is a good example of that IMO), but I'll admit that I have a hard time envisioning vocals on top of a track like Live Another Life.
