what!  i just have to comment on this, cause all the current consoles, especially xbox, had a better graphics (hardware wise) before PC, then a few months later the Geforce 3 came out, which was almost as close as the xbox, but needed one more VS IIRC.

theres warez in the console scene too. It may be larger than the PC, due to the fact that theres tons more games for consoles, especially in the PS2/XBox scene, and soon GC. Lets not forget the PC console emulation scene, with all the ROM/ISOs going around the web.

metriod prime for GC was pretty good, heh most newbies to PC always say "007 for N64 was the best OMG!". wanna talk about third person, well I really liked Wind Walker for my GC, as well as special pre-order zelda for n64 rerelease for GC. I still perfer sports games on consoles, especially NHL, but yeah the quality on PCs are alot better. Fighting games are good on PC too, with emulation and kali anyway. You could play old school Street Fighter, or SFA3 over the net
