I don't go out a lot, but I'm not lonely either. Everyone goes through a stage of depression (I've been through mine), usually in their middle-late teens, so don't feel like you're the only one. Brooding over the fact only makes it worse, and those moments of happiness are washed away once you reflect on that norm you think you need to fit. Once you realize you can be content with nothing, you'll never be depressed again.

Sure I have a great time when I'm out with friends and flirting with girls, but I'm just as happy if not more so, when I'm all alone.

I recommended that you join some sort of club to get out more and make new friends etc. You'll find yourself feeling better in no time. Also before you go to bed drink a mug of warm milk. Also drink plenty of fruit juices and water during the day as well as excerise
