Re: electro.

- It isn't (usually) breakbeat.
- It's got an old-school tech sound about it.
- Is enjoying a boom in tech and prog circles.
- Subgenres include electroclash (intentionally crass, 80s sounding stuff) and electrotech (which I just made up then - highlighting how easy it is to make up genres and how pointless these genre debates are).
- It's an electronic genre currently at the cutting edge of trendiness (everyone will be listening to it - or at least know what it is - in 12 months).
- If you haven't heard Silver Screen Shower Scene then there is no hope for you.

Any questions may be forwarded elsewhere.

He came out here last weekend and was suprisingly good. Has a pretty techy feel about him (from what I heard / can remember from in between my self-induced memory blanks) and is worth seeing if you get the chance.

As for his production style (and I'm basing this on "The Mission", "Loneliness" and his remix of "Pulverturm") I guess you could classify it as "progressive-clubby-house" - told you it was easy to make up genres.

I think tech-trance has been around longer, it’s just that people would call it Hard Trance over Tech Trance.
