When you get an answer, take that number and ask this question: How many of the DJs who scratch are actually good at it? The percentage will be drastically reduced.

at first i was against FS but after looking at the actual specs of it, i'm all for it. its not any easier to spin, you still need the tracks in high quality format and doesn't take away from the vinyl feel.

not any DJ will be getting final scratch, only the ones that afford it.

Give it some time, the price will drop eventually. Then I'm sure there will be sites that sprout that offer rips in AIFF format or whatever that you can download the songs without even having the vinyls/CDs.

Actually, that wouldn't be a half bad idea for labels...

My point is, its setting a bad example because the Final Scratch system also accepts mp3 - you heard of em? You can download anything you fucking want at the click of a button. Now when the general public start getting on Final Scratch after seeing all these DJs using it, they're gonna do exactly that. They aint gonna pay for a thing, vinyl sales will drop, and the whole culture which has been round since DJing began, and the whole culture which makes DJing soo fun is lost.

Quite simply, i dont agree with DJs using Final Scratch. "OoOooo i can take 4000 tracks on tour" - who gives a fuck PvD, you play the same 30 tunes everytime

blah blah blah

you don't need FS to play music you downloaded - you could have burned it on CDR and use a CD deck instead even before FS was made, so I see no point in your bitching about Final Scratch.
