I don't support drugs. Like many of us, I've "been there, and done (some) of that." If I were to do it again, however, I probably would still have done what I did.
The dance community seems to get a bad wrap b/c of so-called rampant drug use at parties etc. It does happen, but this is also the case at hip hop concerts, rock concerts, and even w/ country events. I understand that humans are curious and many of us choose to "experiment" with drugs. We want to learn about these crazy things we've been told not to use. This seems natural. Many of my friends are now addicts and are going no where with their lives. They are amazing people who were once very intelligent, coherent and motivated... now they work at the movie theater and spend all of their money on drugs. They are in poor health and are truly changed people, for the worse. I know this isn't the case with every person that uses drugs, but from my experience and observation, drugs stifle people for realizing their potential, and that is sad.
People will do what they want to, and this person (me) won't be doing drugs.
