Should your comment not go both ways? Just as we should not judge their decisions, they should not involve us in them. So I still fully back and support my original statement.

The life one leads cannot be an excuse for damaging anti social behaviour. If you cannot exist passably within the global society then for the good of all should you not exist?

You clearly did not understand my comment, so let me elaborate. I wonder, have you ever lived anywhere other than in the comfort and safety of Canada? Have you ever gone through things in life that made such academic discussion as we're having right now irrelevant? Do you think your views about the world or "right" or "wrong" would be the same if you were starving somewhere in Africa or had to steal from a rich man to feed your dying child? Or if you experienced you brother's head blown to pieces by a bullet or shrapnel in a war...

Until you've been through the kind of things some people in the world go through, you can't sit here in the comfort of Canada and judge them. You are probably right in the underlying theme, but don't expect someone who doesn't have the luxury of having an academic discussion about it from the outside as we are having to think in your terms. Disagree with him all you want, but do not judge a man if you have not walked in his shoes.

I do not pass judgement on men. Or any individual for that matter. I live my life by objective principles.

This equates to my belief that I don't mind hurting someone's feelings if I believe that whatever the act or words were are correct. And I would not apologize for those words or acts unless I believed them to be wrong in principle. To my mind no individual is worth more or less simply by how I view them. I judge actions objectively and I live my life in the same manner. And yes I can agree that though it is harder (unimaginably so) to live like that in different situations I must still enforce that view point regardless, if I am to stay un-hipocritical.

And yes I agree that this is a callous and harsh way of viewing the world. But after having written many papers on the subject and studied this type of philosophy exhaustively (thus far, though I will agree that I am no Aristotle, or Plato, and I full well intend to continue to study this matter)I can honestly believe that this is the most effective way of life to live, or the beginnings of a very effective way of life.

At the same time I am very open to academic debate, I wait with endless patience for someone to convert me to a different way of thinking. But until that time Machiavelli will remain my guiding light through the darkness.
