Nothing wrong with being cheesy, this is European music after all. In the long run, it's all cheesy and that's why we're here. The problem is all those tracks that cater to mp3 kiddies and are really ineffective in the dancefloor. Armin is probably the most reactionary dj in DJ Mag's top 10.

think id have to agree on this one 99.9% of dutch trance is fuckin bollax just pisses me off, all sounds the same and is just pure cheese, nowdays the only trance i like is from uk, seem to have always been years ahead of mainland europe in terms of producing (with a few exceptions of course), dont know if its the lifestyle in mainland europe that influences the cheesy synths which all sound the same. there should be a new genre "typical trance" all dutch and belgian trance would appear under this sub genre as it all sounds the same and u know what to expect before u have even heard it, yet u get idiots in #armind shoutin "OMFG I DIE" at the same sound everyweek. boring as hell

Kinda harsh to judge trance from an entire continent on one country, don't you think? I'll pass by the argument that the LIFESTYLE of mainland europe is what makes the dutch trance so cheesy in silence, since you obviously just pulled it out of your ass with no evidence to back it up with.

Dutch cheese is the most delicious cheese in the world. Give me some Gouda any time. The bad thing about Armin is that his style has been rotting into McProg Kraft in order to appeal to the American mp3 kiddies.

well its not just one country really, i mean german trance is awfull apart from old pvd, belgium is awfull, mikes older stuff is great but he just uses the same synths and it gets vvvvv annoying

Oh boy. Lifestyle? Seriously, no country has one single lifestyle, even a country as small as The Netherlands or Belgium. By the way, IF we are talking about general lifestyles in The Netherlands and Belgium, they differ more than you probably know.
