I've taken a hiatus from reading, because I haven't had time....

I was reading "An Introduction to Metaphysics" by Heidegger... I think I might start up with that again.

The Path to the Spiders' Nests by Calvino. Interesting. You can see what Calvino's early motivation was. Read the complete novel. Not the censored one.

mystery, religion and similar feel as the brown books. i havent finished it yet, but this far it is very good.

Q by Luther Blissett could also be of interest for you, but thats more in the style of Umberto Eco (who wrote "the name of the rose", made movie with connery and slater)

I've been thinking about buying that Q book, maybe I should :9. Q was reviewed in TIME and they thought it was good... :/

I'll be open and honest about it: I'm really not big on reading books. I'll by all means read for a school assignement if the book interests me enough, but I rarely just pick up a book to read it for the pure enjoyment of it. So many people read and try to hold it over your head - as though those who don't read novels regularily just don't know how to find enjoyment in a book; these same people tend to be those who down 2 or 3 books each week

Not sure what else I think about it, just sorta pointing it out

Anyways, I guess I picked up Timothy Leary's Design For Dying a few months ago - interesting read, even though I downed only half of it. I guess I'm just sorta lazy that way... in a 'literal' sense

But anyways, it was a very neato little book on how we can feasibly scan human thought patterns into cyberspace, and essentially live forever on the Internet. Each time I watch th eCowboy Bebop episode 'Brain scratch' , I am immediately reminded of this book and Leary's propositions. I'd recommend giving it a shot - even though I didn't even totally follow-up on it
