crap! i wanted to talk to johan when i saw him crossing the dance floor at the beginning of the nite...i just didn't want to run up to him like some nerd like omg it johan...like some britney spears fan...it was really cool seeing him from the dance floor at the beginning of the nite though...

maybe he was having a rough night, as that does happen to the best djs, however DJ mixing is soooooooooooooo important, and if a DJ cant mix perfect or at least very good, then it doesn't matter if the newbie retards get all excited about it. cause its the overall vibe that suffers.

DB is right mixing makes the DJ. Maybe a select few newbs had really good pills, so the mixing doesnt effect them, but everyone else would notice either conciously like lady bass and DB or subconsiouly like the 1000 people that didnt show up.

it takes alot to be a good DJ, not just playing the top 20 trance tracks of the year.

for the record: i didnt go, I wish i did - i love johan and I cant wait ot wemf to see him. and I'll keep my eye on his mixing.

by the looks of that track list, I wouldnt have been too impressed with the music. HOPEFULLY at WEMF he plays more rave style because its a rave. That clubby stuff is soundin a bit too common these days.

anybody know what tune was spinning when Gielen was standing on the balcony? it had a killer build-up that just kept building

Awesome night.. they shuda had johan on the patio speakers too since I became addicted to that crazy ride reminded me sorta of that video they used to show in schools back in the day with a guy on acid thinking he can fly and jumping off a tall building, and likehow drugs can make you do crazy things like actually work up the guts to go on a crazy muthafuckin ride lol omg it was so fun.. n so was johan after they shut the ride down

there were a few times i was just like let the track play, no need for the equalizers...but there were also some really good breaks he did with it and he was always 100% on the beat everytime!!! many djs can't do that, they'll bring the equalizer back in and miss the beat and ruin the whole thing but johan has the skill when he does it! so i permit him to do it
