I too was surprised with Paul's set. You would think he'd play different styles at the two different venues since the environments were completely different. The first being wet and outside(CP), the second be in a packed club (Spirit).

Call me lame, but I wanted to hear some of his oldies. The closest I got to that was when he briefly played For An Angel at CP. The highlight of my night was Nu-NRG - Connectiv. The whole next day it was in my head.

I thought the cosmic gate song was called Tomorrow, am i wrong?
Is that red haired woman I keep seeing behind him his wife?
Did I suffer permanent ear damage? :

My friend and I were in from Chicago for the weekend and had an awesome time in NYC. CP & Spirit were simply amazing. Met a ton of cool ass New Yorkers - this weekend really made me want to live there.

Does anyone know the name of the track Jerry Bonham played right before the Ride/Xpander mashup? He played it in Chicago and I've been trying to find it since. It has a bass guitar-ish sound and a breakdown w/some breakbeats and a distorted female spoken vocal. Here is a video sample from the Chicago show (may take a minute to load):

Video here

I would love for someone to ID this...please!

I lost my focking head @ Spirit. Got there at about 2pm.....PVD was just coming on. Got inside with no problems. Security was pretty cool. As soon as we all got inside......this fight broke out and this dude got knocked the fuck out right in front of us....it was pretty sick.....dudes face was a bloddy mess. Afer that, I need a drink bad.....found Lee and he took us to Erin and Liz up front and thats were we chilled most of the night. It was mad packed but the vibe was decent. The system in Spirit is awesome....I was really impressed. PVD deff was playing alot harder and darker than his SS set and I was loving it. Chilled with Vlad, Joey, Erin, Liz, sot, Cubie, and Rach pretty much all night. Didnt really run into that many ta's @ Spirit. Seen the ATL crew but they were all being bumbs sittin on their asses. John and Michelle.......were the fuck were you guys all night??? That sucks we didnt hang out......oh well, see you guys at the beach party. Overall.....it was a great night @ Spirit and I would deff go back.

But the night didn't stop there.......

After Spirit, we all re-grouped back @ Hotel Brianna and chilled for a bit then went to this guys loft party. There was about 25 of us walking around Broklyn looking for this guys place....and it wasnt the nicest part of Broklyn either. But once we found it.....it was dope. Set up was awesome....tables, nice system, and records!!! Cubie spun most of the night and layed down some awsome tracks.....I give you mad credit bro for mixing a set and not knowing what the fuck records you were playing.....awesome job man....you kept the party going. I miss NYC and cant wait to come back and party with you all again.

I am the creator and this is my house and in my house there is only house music. But I am not so selfish because once you enter my house it then becomes our house and our house music and you see no one man owns house because house music is a universal language spoke and understood by all. You see, house is a feeling that no one can understand really unless you're deep into the vibe of house. House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body and as I told you before this is our house and our house music. In every house you understand, there is a keeper and in this house the keeper is Jack.

Don't get me wrong, it was a great night, but it still wasn't anything like Twilo. I thought PvD was on point (really wished they he would have played a "welcome home" set at this special place). But thevibe wasn't there for me. Noncetheless it was a great evening/nite. Somehow hoped it was more though...

Disclaimer: I know this is late..I just got back to Blah-Atlanta last night.

Sorry that the ATL Ta's were bums that tends to happen when we get lazy and stuff. I walked around for a bit but I mostly stayed around Scott most of the night. I had such a great time and I kinda fuzzy about some parts mostly names right now but damn Paul's set was like no other set I have ever heard in the years of being an avid fan. He just needs to keep it up! I was great hanging with all of you and thanks for all the kindness. Spirit is such a great club I just wish we had something like that here.
