Finland vs. Canada

3 from Calgary.

2 from Tampa Bay.

I choose Canada.

2-1 in OT... Iginla scores the game winner... Five holes' Kipprosoff!

Awesome hockey game...the last 30 minutes were great. It was nice to see the refs let em play the back half of the game. I must say that Canada was severely outplayed for much of the 3rd and the overtime lots of legs not moving and clutching/tugging going on, but it didn't take away from the flow if calls were made. They stuck in there with some great saves, and some good luck (great saves are made from being out of position...usually through pucks hitting skates), and captitalized on the chances going the other way.

It will be interesting to see how the 2 days off plays a roll in this. The high pace and overtime would tire the team, yet they also have winning momentum. The 2 days could gain back energy, yet lose a little jump...(the fins with 3 days...same deal)...Will be interesting to see who will be in goal...that should be the difference. Kipper v. Brodeur would be pretty even....Luongo gives the Fins the goalie advantage.

Should be a great final...seeing the czechs and the fins play a north american style is great...seeing the physical play really makes them better teams imo...

I say it's an even match up...just like the two semi's...either team can win, and my guess is a couple good goals will be equalizers a bad goal will be the difference.

Enjoy the last game of the season!...it better be good.

But as usual, we grind it out and win. The pansies aka the Czechs are sent home packing as usual. It sure as heck was not pretty but as long as you win, who cares. Only one more team to send home packing and that will happen on Tuesday Night and that team will be Finland. I said from the very start that Canada would win it and we will, remember my country has so many good players, we could field an A team and a B team and they would meet in the finals

Well, we sure pulled that game out of our ass. We were quite lucky to win it in the end if you ask me...even any blind, arrogant, patriotic Canadian, deep down, will admit that we were outplayed for the last 20 minutes of the game, including OT.

It was an average performance...lots of running around, back to the plays, confusion...but this Canada team is just too talented to lose a game like this in the end. I know Luongo made a few brilliant saves to keep us in it, but I would still much rather have Brodeur in net. The Czech's first and third goals were major softies. If Brodeur had been in net, it would never have gone to OT in my opinion.

I fully expect Canada to beat Finland now that we have had our "bad" game of the tournament. It was a real test, and the Czechs could easily have walked away with the victory. Hats off to them.

A good match, especially the third period was very entertaining... could have gone either way. Frankly I can't see Finland making as many scoring chances as the Czechs did. I will be very surprised if Finland can put a real fight against Canada.

Canada wins 3-2.

They are the champions once again.

But now, all we can do is hope and pray that hockey comes back.

What talks? No side will budge, it's over. They don't even show any indication they WANT to talk about it.
