$70 is nothing for eight hours.

Think about many rock or rnb/hip-hop acts who put on a two hour show for that or more!

As Wraith said, they have to fit out a stadium.

look more money for TIjs, I guess he's done doing Pepsi commercials, so he's out to make a buck anyway he can, and why not double the profit by making it two nights, he's got the time.

Eh, well....

This thread has certainly stayed on topic hasn't it?? It makes me wonder why I even post in these threads anymore. Oh well, for all of you Tiesto haters (you know who you are) who feel compelled to kill every topic relating to him with your endless tired arguments and insults, piss off. Everyone is tired of your bitching and moaning and whining. Perhaps someone else will win #1 this year and you can have something new to bitch about because you've beaten the horse to death on this one.

The ticket prices are justifiable on two counts

1) If tiesto prepares for this show it is definetly worth it. In the past I have spent so much money on seeing unprepared and unenergtic djs that it truely disappointed me and made me feel like edm was dying. I would gladly spend $70 on an high quality show than spend $15 on several shitty shows.

2) this isnt going to be your typical large scale event. Apperently the theme of this concert is magic. Thus alot of money is being spent on special effects, lighting, lasers, projectors, etc. for those atending they will definetly not only enjoy the music BUT also enjoy the expereince. I understand see the counter claims IF the event wasnt planning to show case a very large amount of new and creative special effect lighting and pyrotechnics.

the two night thing is obviously JUST GREED!! If he really wanted to showcase his talent and EDM he should have done one concert in Holland and another concert in the USA or another country. Stupid decision by tiesto's management team ( but than again what other place would fill 2 stadiums for tiesto than holland)

In conclusion tiesto has started a trend that dj's and promoteres should continue to follow in the future. EDM and dj's require such events in order to flourish. Leave the clubs behind for us amaetur djs and let the professional s be the rock stars that they are.

P.S.

It would be very cool if PVD did a 6 hour specially planned concert as well. Once again some dj's (tiesto) have better management and marketinng teams than others. I think I should write PVD a letter

why it is greed?

tiesto has a lot of followers in Holland, with only one show he would dissapoint a lot of people since they wouldnt be able to buy a ticket. With 2 nights more people can attend his show. Ofcourse there is a lot of money made but i dont really care, if the night is great every penny is worth the money

He is actually doing a concert in another country, there will be one in Belgium a couple of days after the Hollands concerts. I agree though that he should have diversified his countries, one in the UK perhaps? Still, having two in Holland is justifiable, both sold out in hours!

I'm curious to see what TIC will bring. I still don't like Tiesto, but maybe he'll surpise us this weekend. It certainly will be fun partying with TA's from all over the world

How many world wide TAs will be meeting up?

There was quite a big turn out last year - around 90 international TA's I believe?
