Sadly they all claim to be the same engines, yet they are different. Just take a look at the nissan pulsar GTiR which is running a SR20DET too, yet is putting out ALOT more power then the either of the other SR20DET's |
iirc, its not due to the engines themselves, its due to the small differences between the turbo's. A cheap upgrade for any SX owner would be to put on a turbo from a GTiR or S15 onto their CA or SR and you could run more boost. Also i think the GTiR throttle body is slightly larger, and again, that part is interchangeable between the engines. I think that as a whole, the SR engine is unchanged, it is just the ancillarys that each car has
