i think he's decent but i wouldnt say "god". kinda plays a splice between the underground sound i nthe uk and more popular trance/hard. the only problem in this is he ends up playing a lot of "overground" psy which isnt very interesting and a lot of shit hardhouse. this was shown in his em, half really good tunes mixed between a load of mediocre. his main plus point is that he's pretty much unique in the commercial scene with regards to his style.

CL is coming newcastle next month so i might be interested to go see him; a new face and a new sound, should be good
As for the essential mix squabbles, nic fanciulli and david guetta were the 2 biggest names in house last year, so its understandable radio1 have got them booked. ben watt will be alright, and krafty kuts is the king of breaks so his will definitely be worth a listen

CL is one of the best live DJs I have ever seen. Both times that I've heard him live, he absoultely rocked the place. One time he had to contend with cold temperatures and rain, but on that occasion his music prevailed. Having seen him, I can understand why he made it to number 7. The guy is a legend on this side of the Atlantic because he routinely just destroys the dance floor and lots of people from over here vote in that poll.
I wouldn't say he's god. Maybe J00F is though.

They (J00f and CL) can be compared i guess. Personally prefer CL, I dunno why, it just has more of a funk for me than joof - not quite as dark, a bit sleeker, abit bit more rock(yes rock), I dunno each to their own and all that jazz
I've been out of the trance scene for a few years but started listening again last summer with my new satelite radio (i luv it, never gonna listen to the crap local stations again). Anyway, they play some CL and i have to say i really like what i hear, sabateur is great track. Thinking about picking up a CD but not sure which one. Be nice if some one could tell me which one they think is worth the 15 bucks?

So it seems there are some mixed revues of Christopher Lawrence from the usual suspects.
I'm a big fan of trance and harder trance, not that excited about hard house, so I think I may go along to see him play on Friday night in Brisbane, and cross my fingers that he will play some harder dancable tunes.
