Well your saying that because it happens to be accepted in one tiny place in the world, people should feel free to post threads about drugs, when really the music should be enough of a high. If you need drugs to gain enjoyment then really the music can't be enough. Just because a few people do drugs you think that all your posts should be accepted by open arms by all. Mentioning it fine, but don't get up in arms about it when someone says something damaging about it.

You really havnt came up with a convicing argument, why threads like this should be accepted, just because you have the habit, dosnt mean everyone else should lay down and suck on it, if they dont agree with it.

Yes but Billabong, I'm not the one forcing my hangups upon others. I'm afraid the onus of proof is on yourself, as the agitator, to prove why such threads should not be accepted. I never said that I need drugs to enjoy anything, or that anyone else should try marijuana, I was responding to the poster of the thread (and your amusing little mod quote), and if there's something wrong with that plz let me know. I'm glad you can speak for so many TAs out there

I understand that you were replying to this thread, but i am entitlted to my opinion, if you dont like it then fine, just as i might not like yours, but some people are getting far to aggressive on a subject which is bound to attrach controversy. Poople can feel free to post about whatever they want, this is a freedom of speech board as we all know, but if people can post what they want to a certain degre, then expect conflicting views, thats all im saying.

There was really no need for people to voice the words "fuck of out of this thread" or something along the lines of such. Just because i have an opinion, dosnt mean i should be void from this thread. I have nothing against anyone that voices their opinion, but when things get nasty for no reason then i start to get angry myself.

I can accept people using drugs, which have been around for centuries in different guises, but some people defend their choice to take drugs so aggressively. If you want to take whatever you want that fine, its not my life. But drugs have some negative consequences, deny it if you will, but you know thats the truth. I think music should be a experience which rewards exploitation, looking for different artists, i just dont see why people feel the need to create threads like this, and i think that if tranceaddict in general feels that threads like this are acceptable, then it should create a sub-forum especally for drug related threads like this.

If it dosnt feel such a forum is accepted then why allow these posts, there are enough of them.

There are many people around the world that say the same thing about alcohal that you have been saying about drugs. But I bet you would be pretty quick to jump and defend it because alcohal is legal almost everywhere in the world and that it is not as harmful as drugs.

well i listen to pretty much various kinds of chillout, anything thatll put me in a kind of state of half-sleep but still keep me up. and i just felt the need to put in my two cents on the whole flame war goin on here about drugs. if someone does drugs cuz they think they are "cool" theyre doin them for a wrong reason. i think of drugs as a kind of gateway to allowing your mind to experince things from a different aspect (requires a strong mind for drugs other than pot ) and when you finally come back to your normal state of mind you learn much much more about your own self than you could possibly imagine. I just dont really see the point in people coming and flaming stoners, because they honestly know nothing about it, and i honestly think its a good thing they hate drugs and drug users because they most likely dont have strong enough minds for it. anyway just thought id drop my two cents on the subject
