Don't hate, dude. Final Fantasy is my favorite RPG series of all, followed by CT/CC then LUNAR. I'm sure there are threads for those floating around here somewhere.

to be honest

i actually tried both CT/CC
played CT for a few hrs and got bored
played CC and got confused with their complex eclipse system, only played 10hrs, by the time i bought the game (b/c of it's rave reviews) the graphics were dated

i actually tried to get back into FF6 ( a game i almost finished) but the graphics were too crappy (by today's standards) that it was a bit unbearable

i think we've become spoiled by these new next gen super powered graphic consoles

Dude, that's terrible. You know as well as I know that good graphics don't make a game, but if you're spoiled to the new high end graphics, then there's nothin' we can do. I personally HATE FFX and FFX-2. The graphics are AWESOME, yes. The gameplay? Shit. The older Final Fantasies, like 4,6,7 are QUALITY. The graphics in CC are choppy, I will admit it, but the storyline, music and gameplay make up for it. FF8 had decent gameplay but the storyline was messed up a bit, and choopy graphics. The same applies to FF9. I love FF and will continue to buy the games, even if they are sucky becuz it's part of my collection.

ff6- quality yes. 8.5/10
ff7- one of my top games of all time. 9/10
ff8- holy crap what a turd. the story was so weak, that metrosexual guy was too much of a sissy for me.. only played until disc2. 6/10
ff9- got turned off by ff8 so never played this one
ffx - actually the sphere system is kindof fun. the voices really make a difference. i'm wondeirng wot ff12 will be like. 8/10
ffx-2 - read mediocre reviews and stuff about changing dresses so never played

+1

Final fantasy VI was the greatest RPG ever... followed closely by chrono trigger and final fantasy V.

hated chrono cross though.

i may have to bust out chrono trigger again... ive gotten like, 100 different endings with that game

...right now I'm playing through Earthbound again on my dreamcast... that game was hella underrated, but it's a fucking awesome RPG, if not just for the quirky jokes and random weird shit throughout the game.

I also recommend Secret of Evermore and Terranigma for the SNES
...and Phantasy Star IV and Landstalker and Shining Force 2 for the Genesis

Damn , it's very difficult to find these games here...
I haven't bought a RPG since last year so I am playing now FFV...

Am I the only one who thinks FF9 is the best RPG ever? (*haven't played the classic FF7 yet)

...known from a videotape the two made when they met in March... in Dresdens home, Dresden amputated Gabriels penis and Dresden and Gabriel ate the penis together...Gabriel had insisted that Dresden bite his penis off; this did not work.. Dresden used a knife. When that knife turned out to be too blunt, Dresden used a sharper knife to slice the penis off. Gabriel apparently tried to eat his share of his own penis..but could not because it was too..."chewy". Dresden then sautéed the penis in a pan with salt, pepper, and garlic.
