It is true that moors conqured much of southern spain and parts of italy at one point, as to whether they changed an entire blood line, well that's always going to be contested. I'm pretty sure most of what was said was an exaggeration, said with the intention of getting a rise out of our pasta lovin friends. That was why i posted it anyway....
