First of all, GOD DAMN, i'm stuck with my Fido contract for another year and a bit.
and second, I just recieved a notice from fido/rogers, saying that if I want to have coverage anywhere in canada, I need to give them a call and add an extra 5 bucks to my bill...
also in the 24hrs, the news paper, they were offering a package almost as good as mine, however the unlimited evenings start at 5 pm instead of 7.
however tempting it is, I don't know if I want it.... but I'm still considering. Since I'm stuck with the company for another year and a bit, I might as well get that, and then pay an extra 5 bucks, because supposedly they'll be raising the fee anyways

I'm confused and pissed off....

are you talking about the extra $5 to roam on the Rogers network .. ?

yeah those are the ones that I believe, will be charged if I choose to accept the broader roaming range...

if you're already on an existing contract or going month to month then you have to pay the extra $5.. but if you don't mind entering into a new contract you don't have to pay the $5 for the time you're on that new contract..

that's what i did and i don't have to pay the extra $5 to use the Rogers network.. so my coverage is great anywhere i go now

i just signed a 2 year contract in jan on CityFido because the guy at the store told me about all these coming changes. I've beenw ith fido for over 6 years now... after my 2 years is up the situation might change...

this is just one more reason to say "f~ck you Rogers, d~ckless c~ocksucking peice of sh~t c~nt motherf~ucker!" I dispise (yes, this is one of many words i don't know how to spell) the fact that I have no alternative but to use some of their services.

hmm...I'm on the FIDO unlimited incoming calls for 25 bones a month (with all the extra bullshit charges, it comes to nearly 45), which isn't a bad deal really. I signed that in September for two years, so I'm good until 2006 under my current contract. But after that, I think it's pretty safe to say I'll bid adieu to Rogers/FIDO.

Bell isn't much better though.
