Moby
As much as he's constantly incorrectly referred to as Techno, he has certainly done a lot for EDM. Having started producing in the late 80s, his music is as diverse as it gets. Go, Next is the E, Feeling so Real, Voodoo Child (both the alias and the track), Mobility and many others are considered timeless classics by many. In addition, the Guinness Book of World Records named his Thousand single as the "fastest song ever recorded."
Taking a look at his releases, it's evident that he's more than willing to experiment with sounds. Acid-House releases in his earlier career, under U.H.F. and Voodoo Child, Hard Rock with his 'Animal Rights' album, and various Ambient releases including God Moving Over the Face of the Waters.
In 1999 he released his ever-popular album 'Play.' The album broke yet another record for Moby, as every song on it was used in a movie or television soundtrack. The album samples works from cassettes that he purchased when visiting the Southern states, and is sure to be a classic.
And the others, for reasons previously mentioned...
