There is no overrated Floyd album... There are three distinct time periods to Floyd..the Barrett years, the Waters years, and the Gilmour years... trying to compare one album from one time period to an album from another time period doesn't work... Dark Side of the Moon is not a "noob" album and to even imply, muchless explicitly state that it is is a slight against Floyd....they've even said themselves that it's their greatest work....

It's important to me because PF are the backbone to my life...their music gives me hope in everything that I do and a reason to go on as an artist...When I hear people trivialize something meaningful to me, or talk out of their ass, then I have to take action.... But you realize their greatness - so how does other people ignorantly degrading your interests have any sort of significant effect on anything but your ego?

Pink Floyd is about expression and freedom - perhaps you forgot this along the way, as so many people tend to do. If you are an artist, show some integrity by not being offended by every stupid comment people make about what you love - if it's truly a stupid comment, then why does it have any sort of credence towards your perception anyways?
