hello all
Can people explain to me why he should be mourned at the level he is being mourned at?
And please dont show me how many times hes travelled around the world.
This thread reminds me of the RIP Ronald Reagan thread. Everyone was so sad.. but didnt know why... only becuase they were an public figure.
Remember.. i dont take a liking to people who want me to suffer becuase i dont beleive in their god |
Nobody should or shouldn't be mourned. For me, he was always someone I looked up to as kind person with good morals. He was a father figure to (as I've said before) one billion Catholics worldwide. To add to that, he was also Polish, and helped rid Poland of communism, and got shot for it, so obviously Polish Catholics mourn him in a whole different way.
Not all Popes have been good people. Many have exploited the church for its money and have lived like kings, doing nothing more than sitting at the Vatican. His travels have a lot to do with the type of person he was. He wanted to meet as many people as possible, see as much of the world as possible, bless as many children as possible, etc... He was the people's Pope, that is why he is and will be mourned this way.
If you want to know about his achievements I suggest you do some research about him.
