the fact that u dont like it doesnt give you any right to say its shit...it gives u the right to say you dont like it...
that's what i refer to as members of TA being ignorant...
they dont understand and respect different musical tastes!

I like artists of a similar style though
the quality of mylos work is lacking in comparison
as I've said, it's like listening to an incredibly stoned jock playing with his "my first casio".
I understand it completely, and it's why I have no respect

ok, i see your point...but as you realized that many people in this thread do enjoy mylo a lot, you dont have to come and say its shit...
dont post in the thread is an option and if you cant control yourself you might say something like i dont like him...
that would take away many of the flame wars that happen on the boards!

but thats my opinion?
there's a thread about Mylo and I have an opinion
as far as I'm aware it's not against the rules to post negative opinions?
I don't mince my words when it comes to negativity, I want to make sure my point comes across loud and clear

Mylo is definitely one of the "superstars" in house or electronic music right now.
Every house DJ i seen played his tune once or twice in their sets.
Hell, I think I heard his song everytime I entered a dance club.
Hes not gonna suit everyones taste, but hey so what? He doesnt wanna remix U2. Big fucking deal. I dont really give a rats arse if they are the "biggest" band in the world. Their latest album is over the top boring as hell pompous shit.
Theres only so much u can do with a 4 piece band over a 2 decade period and they'd be doing all of us a favour if they just pulled the plug.

Well aren't you a wanker. Do you know how fucking boring these forums would be if everyone had the same opinion? It'd be fucking carebear-land. He gave his reasons for thinking Mylo is shit, so you're in no position to whine.

Just think of it like this: If U2 sells 10 million albums for "How to dismantle an atomic bomb", it is fair to estimate that 5% of those sales are from the hardcore fans who also buy all the singles that are released for the album. That would make it 500,000 fans who would get a copy of the "Blinding Light" single...a number of people Mylo probably didn't count on with his regular sales.
Agreed it will probably bring him more popularity, but most of the hardcore U2 fans won't care about the remix- they buy singles for the B-sides and other U2 works. Out of 500,000 people who own his remix on single, only a few thousand will get into Mylo's work from hearing it. This isn't "making" his career, it's just an increase of popularity. Right from the start I've been arguing that remixing U2 won't change his career, or bring him any more popularity than he will get as his profile rises over time.
