People said the same thing about the PC Party - "Canada's founding party" - and yet is was decimated in 1993.

We absolutely don't need a "nice" opposition, that would give in to the government. That's not healthy for democracy. What we neeed is an effective and vigilent opposition to hold the government's feet to the fire - regardless of who's in charge.

What worries ME is that people like you are more concerned about the opposition "playing nice" then getting rid of the corrupt Lieberals, who are ruining the country.

Because Harper is far too right-wing for me. I reluctantly remained a member when the PCs and Alliance merged with the hopes that there was some small chance that the party would return to somewhat more moderate roots.

It's quite evident this will not happen anytime soon, particularly as long as Harper is at the helm.

id like to see the conservatives stay very fiscally conservative and committed to government restructuring. On the social aspect it would be nice if they were a bit more liberal.
