I like Desyn, OS 0.1 was great. I was really looking forward to this album. I like a lot of the tracks, but to me, they just don't flow together. Someone was saying earlier that they loved how there were so many different genres and styles thrown in. The problem is, you can't take tracks from several genres, throw them into a hat and pull them out at random. I thought the transition from Halcyon to Spirals - X was bad. It changed the mood TOO much and got way too peppy all of a sudden, as my girlfriend put it when we were listening to it last night. We turned it off 45 minutes in and listened to Zabiela's Part Zero mix, instead (which I had listened to earlier at work and knew she'd enjoy).
I also don't really like diva housey sounding Moloko - Cannot Contain This, but that's just my own personal thing with the diva sound. |
