*** Digweed Aftermath ***

I had an awesome time. Great to see everyone again (except Xenon coz i couldn't find ya lol). Dancefloor was packed and way too hot, so aircon on the second floor was the way to go. Wasn't as packed as Armin or Tiesto @ Home so there was still room to move on level 2.

If anyone knows what track was played just before Digweed came on let me know. It was mint.

As for Digweed - solid performance from the master. I think I picked up one train wreck. He really likes his buildups don't he? A few too many where there was a buildup followed by silence, and then the next track dropped in. Interesting, but not so good for people who were dancing ie. me. lol.

Nice flow though I found the second hour a bit boring. Third and fourth hours he kicked it into gear. I left at 5am.

Closing of the toilets on level 2 sucked.

Pryda - Aftermath, anyone?

yeah i kinda wish i had stayed for the last half of his set coz i knew he'd pick it up in typical digweed style... unfortunately, even tho i liked what he was playin, i was feelin a bit off and just couldnt get into it, so we left, was good to see everyone though

pretty shite, King Unique were apparantly playing there, but i was too sore to stay for long

other tracks i remember:
Pryda - Aftermath <- song of the night
Bedrock - Santiago
DJ Phunky - Funny Phunky
Mashtronic - Beloved
El Presidente - Without You (Infusion Remix)

the lead guy in Infusion was dancing front and centre the whole night

the second encore - Guy Gerber - Stoppage Time (Dave Gardner & Sahar Z Haoman 17 Mix) was fucking incredible, not sure if that was the right remix because it had some layered vocals

Unless it was one of the last 2 tracks, I can't remember it being played.

Soz I missed you Anf, was laying low up on the railings on the 2nd level most of the night.

Digweed was ok, nothing special. First hour was lame and completely filler. Don't know if you'd call it "setting the scene" for the rest of the set but at 1:30-2:30, I thought it was a little late to be doing that. Think a 2hr set would have suited much more nicely. It wasn't all bad though, towards the end of the 2nd hour he played a really good half hour chunk but then as soon as it came it went again. Took another hour to come back when he chimed in with Aftermath (thought the extra-long build-up on top of Aftermath's already lengthened build-up didn't really work). Started feeling pretty tired by 6:20 and left, he must have finished within 10 min. Saw much better from Digweed at Extrema and Global Gathering, so expectations were fairly high. I think in the end he just didn't have enough (good) tunes.

BTW well done to Robbie Lowe, played a great set before Digweed and I think it's fair to say, given a blind test, I definitely would find more enjoyment with his set than Digweed's.

Quite sad to have missed King Unique. Another time.

No where near as good as his private set at YU last year. He played way too much ploddy prog

However, him dropping Aftermath made it all worth it in the end! Home night club fucking EXPLODED.

Thanks for all your work Dan & Crispin if you did any? Had a great night, easily the best crowd I've ever been part of in Home.

Loved hearing Santiago, missed Pryda but i must be the only person not to really get the track. Seems to go a really long time for not much result. Maybe less is more?
