Yes, and you're only about half a year late.

what I said was that it's really funny that a statement like that can come from PVD which himself produces really cheesy stuff. I could understand if someone like Oliver Lieb or Sven Väth made these comments. But when PVD, which recently released his most cheesy and lousy album ever say it then its hilirous.

I think it's pretty harsh for any DJ to put down other DJs, it just isnt good work etiquette. He shouldnt have answered the question with that response.

PvD might have been a great DJ ONCE, but in my opinion those days are definitely gone. I only need to remember the last gig I witnessed @ Munich two weeks ago. He made poor transitions, played mostly monotone tracks (or made them monotone), ruined lots of tracks and the whole atmosphere with his typical PvD baseline (playing tracks underlined with it for almost an hour or so NONSTOP) and partying like some crack-addicted cow. He might be an important supporter of the EDM scene and an important public person, but his latest productions and gigs are mostly crap. I won't spend another cent for a trip to pvd-gigs anymore. It's a pity, because I used to LOVE that guy for the magic he brought into a club when spinning, but those times are gone.

On the other side ( ) I get slowly pissed with all those guys hyping minimal/electro/ect. because I can't shake off the suspicion that in a few years the same bashing will happen to those music because everybody got so full of it nobody can hear it anymore. It's just like the newest trend and *whooohooo* we all have to join it. Maybe I'm mistaken here, but this is what it sounds like to ME.

If I was tiesto and I saw him in person after reading the shit he wrote about me...I would spit in his face and then break his jaw so he'd think twice before saying bullshit like that.

Although pvd makes a valid statement i feel hes in no state of doing it as he has put himself in a rather preculiar position where he survives on his name instead of his current productions.

The funny thing is that DJ Sammy gets a lot more airtime here in the USA than PVD.

That finally means that Trance in Europe and the USA are developing into two different directions. The only one who seems to unify both worlds at the moment is Armin van Buuren...
