Ok, does anyone know the actual times that everyone actually played? .. cause it seems like everyone was all over the palce lol

My cousin's boyfriend paid me back the $75 I paid for my fake ticket plus my cousin felt so bad that she insisted on paying a huge part so all in all, Celebration = $15 from my pocket

I have had a few reviews to write already now since I got home and am getting sleepy, so I am going to try to keep this one under control (meaning not a regular TOTA review )

I have never been to any of the larger events in Montreal before so I was really looking forward to my first event!

I really liked the setup and decore of this party. If you have ever been to Europe of any type of larger festival, imo you can certainly notice the similarities between them. And the lasers always add a nice touch to it as well.

The crowd was decent.. not too packed, there was room to dance, not too pushy and no randoms trying to talk to you on the dance floor while you are clearly wanting to dance and not talk at that moment. I think having it in these larger venues with a good amount of people is way better than having anything in an overpacked club. But nothing beat looking down from the top level at the whole place. What a great feeling, it was amazing!

The DJ's, well.. I enjoyed Fabi, Miller and Lawler's sets.. although nothing drastically stood out for me. Oakenfold's set seemed very similar to what he played in September when I saw him last.. and starting a set with the World is Mine as we were walking in the doors.. but whatever.. It is Oakenfold. I still always like to hear Seven Cities so he did good with that

As I posted earlier in another review.. this night for me was nothing but a night out with some great friends. I was actually very lucky that not only did a spend it with all sorts of TA's from different cities but I also saw a ton of non-ta friends from TO area there as well. I didn't really care about the music, I didn't really care about the crowd, or the setup.. I was with people I enjoyed being with and especially on NYE, what a fantastic night!

Dan, Marcus, Erika, Nick, Fawzi, Gavin, Mario, Bobby, Ziad, Baki, Khoa (please forgive me if I haven't spelled your name right my dear ) and if I have forgotten any of you I apologize it is now getting late and I am exhausted with very little memory left, but thank you so much.. I had a wicked time with all of you! Way to start off the new year

Celebration was my first party in Montreal and I didn't know what to expect but was sure in for a treat. Having the Bell Centre as a venue was pretty damn amazing, when I first walked through the curtains I just had to stand there and look in awe at how beautiful they had done up the decorations. Got there kind of early right when Oakie was starting. I've never seen him b4 so I guess he was ok nothing extraordinary about him, dropped a few classics which was nice to start my night but that's about it. For all you Fabi haters out there I don't know what was your beef about him but in all honesty his set was my fav of the night as anybody who knows me would tell you that I'm all about the tribal house. His mixing was on par and it seemed like he knew exactly how to get the crowd on his side. I liked Lawler's set but I was hoping he would have played more tribal than he had but the electro for me was basically good to listen to not really dance.

The visual effects were pretty damn awesome from the green laser shooting out the front, to the fire cannon they had on the upper levels, that was pretty awesome. Met a whole bunch of MTLTA's which was nice and a good bunch of people not like I had perceived them to be before a la epi. Anyways overall I'd give Celebration 2005 a 9.5/10.

OH MY GOD!!! you must be fucking kidding me. toronto friendler than montrteal??? bwahahahaha.

i dont speak a word of french, and i socialized with TONS, me going up to people and people coming up to me just to chat, believe me that does NOT happen in toronto. even the none english speakers would talk to me in french and when i tell them i dont speak it they would switch to english, or they will say that they dont know english in a friendly manner.

as for people not looking at the dj, thats what i loved about the party everybody was dancing in any direction they wanted they weren't star struck by the dj presence.

celebration was a fun party i had a great time and met lots of TA's who were just as great.

mad props to Montreal, the best place in north america to party and one of the best places in the world.

I was hoping this topic would fizzle out but I guess not...
Like I said in a previous post, our main hangout has been Circus during the 4 months I've been here because it was talked up so much to me by someone I know. Perhaps I haven't been fair by judging Montreal based on my opinion of this place. Half the time its been empty. I think the people there are generally bitchy. My gf will sit up on the bar with the other girls but none of them are friendly. Trying to talk to them is like pulling teeth. People act very exclusive.

I actually didn't find Toronto unfriendly at all. We were invited to afterparties, other girls always spoke to my gf (sometimes more than that), and people were always easy to talk to (in the basement lounge at Boas or the acid lounge/drink at the Guv or in the outside smoking area or upstairs bar at the CZ).

During the month of January, we will make it a point to get out to Stereo (been to stereobar), Red-Lite, and Bal en Blanc which will be our first large event. Hopefully 2006 will be an improvement over the last 4 months. Poo on Circus.
