libertarians are just as bad as socialists when it comes to their mindless rhetoric. if you actually had ANY experience in how government's worked you would know that they are more than capable of engendering badly needed infrastrucure/planning that the private sector would completely incapable of achieving.
you totally missed my comment anyway. goddamn you people are shitting me today.
do any of you come up with your own ideas or just parrot meaningless shit that far greater ideologues than yourself have debunked centuries before? its bloody tedious seeing the same, tired catch-phrases that any first year uni student could dismiss. christ. |
I'm not advocating laissez-faire. I believe a mixed economy of some regulation, but mostly free market is the best system. The SEC, Treasury Department, FED Reserve all serve a great purpose in protecting the consumer. So don't lump me with laissez-faire.
Really? I did hear that PRIVATE companies were trying to build a super highway right in the middle of Texas. Who do you think builds the infrastructure? It sure ain't state-owned companies. I really don't think you really want to try schoolin me on the economy . Government may fund these projects, but they don't build the roads.
I'm not asking for complete deregulation and laissez faire. I'm advocating against the welfare state, the father-knows-best state, big brother state. You wanna talk about the debunking throughout the centuries. Try to debunk this. The centuries has shown that government time and again fails, throughout history! The greatest of empires have all fell. But those governments that operate on the free-market model have prospered the most, were at war less with other free market countries, and survived the most as the same cohesive government entity. The US, more than any country demonstrates this fact in that it has existed as the same form of government for over 200 years, something no other government can boast today.
I do think for myself, and I ask you to not let the government think for you .
