I will speak from a US point of veiw, I go to the club every weekend and I try to go to a party every weekend too. I personaly cant stand house but it is most popular here in the states because well, lets look at the scene it started here in the states and its easier to get house music in the states. Many of my friends listen to house because it has words to it and they can sing along because they cant dance. And I will say that alot of the girls who I have seen at the club and some parties that like house is becuase they cant dance to anything with 120+ beats a minute, I remember when a DJ at a local club here threw down a 30 minute set of some HARD HOUSE, we're talk'n Bam-Bam and Venom quality 144+ Beats a minute, the dance floor cleared of all the grinders, ho's and wanna bees (these goes for men and women alike) there were about 7 of us dancing our butts off to it and there was 2 women both I know are trance heads dancing to it. I think the reason Y U see more women who "like" house is because it is more comon and they dance to the words...... which means to me they cant dance, they must be from a cant dance family with some cant dance kids and they go to work in a cant dance car, and get drunk in a cant dance bar. I do see quite a few women in the trance, Hard house, jungle and DaB scene, but they R porpotional to the number of club regulars out there, we trance addicts R about 10% or less of the american population (american being canada and mexico and US) there R more Rock fans in the town I am stationed at then anything else and it is sad to see a bunch of hicks with mulets thinking they R cool in their rusted out blazer or beat down 96 mustang ST, argh I wont even go on that subject I hate the people around here. FYI I am in Watertown NY or City of Watertown as they like to call themselves and City of Watertown in short is COW like the women here. Sorry to rant but I had a bad weekend alot of people here p'ed me off, and Ive been here to long (3 years). Oh and Sothis marry me I am looking for a woman who understands my obsecion with computers and the online RPG world. |
Hilarious! ahah.. Tis true, Sothis is most likely more of the the girl-geek than all of TA-girls combined. At least, I know I'm nowhere near her obsession.

Alright, after reading all of your comments, I must say;
I am a broad, and I know good trance amongst the clutter. I can not speak for everyone but trance is by far the sexiest genre of electronic music out there. Yes some deep, hard Danny T. or Roy Davis Jr. is also very groovy and sexy, but come on! No one can tell me that AVB or some Oakenfold (he tends to be hit or miss) is anything short of beautiful. I urge the girls out there to really listen to mixing style, composition of the track, track selection and progression of the set, and you will soon find out that hard, deep, tribal, melodic trance and the d.j.'s who mix them equals the superior form of music!!
